Kodi Nemunaitis is interested in land-atmosphere interactions and land surface modeling. Kodi's current research includes the validation of the North American Land Data Assimilation System (NLDAS). A key component of this research is the Oklahoma Mesonet, more specifically, the Oklahoma Atmospheric Surface-layer Instrumentation System (OASIS) Project. This research focuses on the comparison of the Mosaic and Noah model-derived components of the surface energy balance and skin temperature to those measured at the 10 OASIS Super Sites.
